As Alfred's Editor for Jazz Products, Pete provided for Alfred Publication’s sponsorship of Dr. Ron McCurdy, Chairman of the Jazz Studies Department and Professor of Music in the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California.

Mr. BarenBregge is currently Editor for Jazz Products for Alfred Publications/Belwin Jazz. At Alfred Publishing, Mr. BarenBregge’s editorial responsibilities include project manager for jazz ensemble and combo arrangements along with improvisation, transcription, etude and pedagogical materials along with producing educational CDs.
Mr. BarenBregge is the
former Musical Director and NCOIC of the United States Air Force
Band's Airmen
of Note, Washington, D.C. In addition to his leadership of this premier
jazz ensemble, he performed as lead jazz tenor saxophonist during his 20-year
military career. He has been a featured soloist on 19 Airmen of Note albums
and the producer of seven of the group's recordings.
