


Bill Watson has been teaching for 24 years, including the past 8 years as Director of Bands at Richland High School in the Birdville ISD. Mr. Watson spent his first 16 years in the Spring ISD at Wells Middle School, Westfield High School, and Spring High School. Other marching band teaching experiences include 12 years of drum corps experience with the Sky Ryders, Cavaliers, and Santa Clara Vanguard.
Mr. Watson has been fortunate enough to work with groups that have earned 5 UIL State Championships, 8 Bands of America Regional Championships, 1 Bands of America Grand National Championship, and 2 Drum Corps International World Championships. He served as the TMAA Marching Band Vice-President from 2000-2003 and has served on the TMEA/UIL Marching Band Committee.

Jed has been teaching at the high school level for nine years in the DFW and Houston areas. He holds both Bachelor and Master degrees in music from the University of Houston. His professional affiliations include the TMEA, TBA, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
Jed Weeks is currently an associate director of bands at Richland High School just outside Fort Worth. He is in his fifth year at Richland, and has been the drill designer there for the past two years. Mr. Weeks has been designing visual programs since 1995 for several high schools in Texas including Clement, El Paso Franklin, and Brenham to name a few. He has also been a design consultant for color guards and winter guards in the DFW area. While living in Houston he served as a substitute Trombone for the Houston Symphony Orchestra and played professionally in the greater Houston area from 1992-1998.
Jed was on the instructional staff of the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps for eight years (1996-2003), serving as the Brass Caption Head for the last two years. He also was a brass instructor with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in 1994.

Mikel S. Burress graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1997, where he was awarded the "Outstanding Graduate" award for instrumental music. Mr. Burress currently serves as both an assistant band director and colorguard director at Richland High School in Richland Hills. He is also the director and designer for Winter Guard International Finalist "Black Gold". Currently he is serving as Secretary for the North Texas Colorguard Association. Previously, Mr. Burress has served as the assistant band director and colorguard director at The Woodlands High School of The Woodlands, TX as well as in Enid, Oklahoma. He has also served as colorguard designer for numerous programs throughout both Oklahoma and Texas including the 1996 Oklahoma Bandmasters Association Grand Champion, Owasso High School. In addition to education, Mr. Burress has serves as an adjudicator and drill designer across the nation.
