Organizing Student Leaders

Ron Morrison will take you on a yearlong journey in the processes involved with selecting, training, and empowering both a healthy and dynamic student leadership program. From leadership selection criteria to the auditioning process, Ron will share with you what is working within his program at Cedar Park High School. Some of Ron's students will also be on hand for a discussion of their roles and responsibilities within his program.

Ron Morrison is currently the Director of Bands at Cedar Park High School in the Leander ISD. Since opening in 1998, Cedar Park has an unblemished record in UIL Sweepstakes Recognition at the varsity level. The band has been a consistent finalist in the Texas' Bands of America Regional Championships as well as a finalist at the Texas State Marching Band Contest. In 2001, Cedar Park was named as the UIL State Marching Band Champion.

Ron made his mark in Austin's entertainment arena by co-hosting "The Flipside," a conservative radio talk show, on Austin's AM 1370 KJCE and AM 590 KLBJ being trademarked as "Dr. Ron." As a result he has been a guest speaker and delivered keynote addresses for many functions in the Austin area. Further, he is a nationally published guest commentator for CNS News with his article being carried by the Wall Street Journal.

Ron owns and manages Specialized Administrative Services, Inc. SASI is a Leadership and Management development consortium that trains organizational leaders at all levels. In 2004 Duns and Bradstreet and the International Association of Amusement Parks (IAAPA) recognized the team that Ron has assembled for their outstanding work within the Six Flags Corporation and other entertainment agencies in Executive Management Training. Ron has also been named to National Register's "Who's Who" In Executives and Professionals.

Ron holds an Associates Degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the Texas A&M University Engineering Extension Division, a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Houston Baptist University, and a Master of Education in Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.
