


Nick Nicholson is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma having attained both Bachelor and Master of Music Education degrees. Mr. Nicholson is currently the Associate Director of Bands at Creekside Intermediate School in the Clear Creek ISD. Prior to his appointment at Creekside, Mr. Nicholson served as Director of Bands at Northbrook Senior High School in Spring Branch ISD, as Associate Director at Stephen F. Austin High School in Fort Bend ISD, and as Associate Director at Lake Olympia and Hodges Bend Middle Schools in the Fort Bend ISD. Before moving to Texas, Mr. Nicholson served as Assistant to the Director of Bands at the University of Oklahoma and as a visiting professor of Low Brass at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Mr. Nicholson is an active drill writer, musical arranger, and marching band clinician for numerous band programs throughout the Southwest.

Richard Maher is currently a Band Director at Katy Junior High School in the Katy ISD. He previously taught in Spring Branch ISD and Willis ISD at both the Junior and Senior High levels. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Houston. Mr. Maher has a very successful private lesson studio and is a professional trombonist. He can be found performing with the Houston Symphonic Band as well as several other venues in and around the Houston area.

Teri Poole-Brockway is a graduate from the University of Houston, where she studied with Eddie Green. She also received her Master of Music Education degree from the University of Houston. She recently completed her fourteenth year of teaching. Thirteen of those years have been at Clear Lake Intermediate in Clear Creek ISD where her bands have been consistent recipients of UIL Sweepstakes Awards. At the TMEA Honor Band auditions, her bands have placed 6th & 7th at the state level. Additionally, the Clear Lake Band has been named "Best in Class" at various invitational contests. Mrs. Brockway is married to Rick Brockway, who is also a band director in Clear Creek ISD. She considers her finest accomplishments to be her three young daughters, Bailey, Morgan, and Jacy.

Sue Fletcher has been a music educator at the junior high level for 17 years and has been director of bands at Brenham Junior High School for 15 years. In addition to being the campus brass specialist, she also conducts the Honors Band and oversees the junior high and middle school band programs. She is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University in San Marcos. Ms. Fletcher is currently a member of the TBA and TMEA. She is an active clinician and judge in Region IX and surrounding areas.
