


Elaine Vinson is entering her sixth year as the President of the Board of Directors and Band Booster Organization for the Tarpon Springs High School Instrumental Music Education Program in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She oversees a progressive booster program whose mission is to build partnerships with families, schools, alumni, and the community and to develop each individual's "Commitment to Excellence" for achieving success in every aspect of their life.
In addition to her responsibilities with the band program, Elaine Vinson was recently named to serve as a Director on the Florida Music Foundation; a joint effort of the Florida Music Educators Association and the Florida Music Supervisors Association. For the past two summers Elaine Vinson has served as a Faculty Presenter for Bands of America Summer Symposium Booster Workshop. Named the "2000 Volunteer of the Year" at Tarpon Springs High School, she was recognized for creative development of community and corporate support for the Tarpon Springs Leadership and Music Conservatory. This community wide attractor provides a seamless music curriculum from K-12 and brings private instruction into the elementary, the middle school and high school.
