William "Bill" S. Everitt

William "Bill" S. Everitt was born into the family music business in Dallas, Texas.

Brook Mays has locations in nine different states with almost 900 employees. Brook Mays' currently operates stores in Texas in these cities: Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Texarkana, McAllen, Abilene, Midland, Odessa and San Angelo.

Brook Mays' stores not only sell equipment, they rent and repair also. Brook Mays' operates the largest instrument repair facility in the country with over 20 musicians on staff and largest pool of instruments available for rental to students. "Supporting Music Education" is the store mantra.

Bill is celebrating his 29th year of marriage to his wife Elaine. He and Elaine have two grown children and are grandparents.

Bill has also been active within the music industry all of his professional life. He has served on many music related association boards. Bill participated on the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) board of directors and served as their Chairman. He is recently the Past President of the American Music Conference. He is also currently serving as Vice-President of the board for the Museum of Music Making.

Bill's companies are strong supporters of music education. Because of his strong belief in the importance of music education, his companies have funded and sponsored thousands of clinics and seminars over the years. Bill Everitt and Brook Mays have consistently been one of the largest exhibitors and sustaining members of the Texas Bandmasters Association.
